The Great Hospital offers a range of apartments ranging from rooms in the medieval buildings on the estate, typical almshouses and more modern flats.
Domiciliary Care
Care can be provided both in our assisted living block and in sheltered accommodation by our own in-house care team who are available 24hrs a day.
Events & Activities
The medieval halls are available for hire for a variety of functions. Tours of the medieval buildings can be arranged and regular open days are held.

Oct 10, 2011       Major new building development starts at the Great Hospital

A major new development is underway at the Great Hospital.  A new block of 18 apartments together with lounges overlooking the gardens on one side and the bowling green on the other will allow us to significantly improve our delivery of domiciliary care.

The project will also add 6 additional apartments onto our assisted living block and we are also constructing a new community centre with an outside patio are adjacent to the medieval cloisters.  The gardens are being redesigned by a top Norfolk  landscape gardener.

These buildings together with improved car parking and workshop facilities will greatly improve many aspects of the site.

The buildings have been designed by Cowper Griffith Architects and he building work is being carried out by Haymills Ltd.  Completion of this ambitious project is scheduled for early 2013.
