Sheltered Housing
The Great Hospital offers a range of apartments ranging from rooms in the medieval buildings on the estate, typical almshouses and more modern flats.
Domiciliary Care
Care can be provided both in our assisted living block and in sheltered accommodation by our own in-house care team who are available 24hrs a day.
Events & Activities
The medieval halls are available for hire for a variety of functions. Tours of the medieval buildings can be arranged and regular open days are held.

Care Facilities

We offer a high level of care at the Great HospitalCare at the Great Hospital is provided by our own in house highly trained and motivated care team under the supervision of our care manager, Anne Loveday. Anne has extensive nursing experience and has now spent many years in the care profession having run several care homes in England.

The qualifications of our staff exceed that required by the Care Quality Commission and all members of the team complete regular professional update training in all aspects of their work.

Care can be provided either in our sheltered accommodation or in our assisted living block for those residents who are more in need.

We have currently been awarded a 2 Stars (Good) rating by the Care Quality Commission and are now striving to improve that to excellent. Our latest inspection report can be obtained from the Care Quality Commission or from our Care Manager.
